Bodyguards are playing an important role in our society today more than ever before.
As much as we try to ignore bad news, imagine it doesn’t occur, and that there aren’t horrible, atrocious criminals out there, the truth is that there are. There are people out there that do horrible things, which we cannot even imagine. We can’t ignore the facts, and we can’t assume these things wont happen to us, because when we least expect them, they do. That is why we can’t just ignore the facts anymore, that is why we need to consider hiring bodyguards even if we aren’t high profile celebrities. You see today, all kinds of people need bodyguards. You could be an executive, an employee in charge of a special event, a person who needs protection as a witness in a lawsuit, a corporate executive, a bank executive, etc. In fact, if you are even remotely wealthy you may need more protection than the best-known celebrity. It is a well known fact, that when a criminal wants to be noticed he may avoid the high profile figure as this is a harder target to get to, and may instead go after the celebrity’s manager or other family member, just because this person is a softer target, one that is easier to get to and less protected. Another misconception many people have in regards to bodyguards has to do with the people who take on this position. People believe these security professionals are nothing but muscled thugs that stand around. An impression that usually comes from what we have seen in the movies and television shows. But the truth is far from this. Most protection agents are highly trained and can look just like the average Joe, shadowing our clients without looking obvious. Many of them are usually ex-military personnel, police officers, ex-CIA agents, etc. This means their safety skills are highly honed and keeping an eye out for suspicious activity have become a natural born instinct to them. A highly skilled bodyguard knows everything that is going on around him, has memorized, the room, and notices any odd behavior, people, or even driving by others, even before you know of the danger yourself. For some clients a bodyguards overprotective methods may even seem annoying or over the top, but better safe than sorry.
